- Location -- The hotel is situated 25 km east of Iraklion International Airport. It is close to the fishing village of Hersonissos, a long sweeping bay of sandy beach and crystal clear water.
- Public Areas -- The lobby is very large with large areas of wall mosaic and wonderful stone floors. A wooden chandelier dominates the lobby center. Outside there is an open air amphitheatre, miniature golf, bowling, indoor pool, tennis, bridge rooms, nightclub and water sports. The hotel has been designed like a little village.
- Guest Rooms -- The impressive suites, the luxury rooms and bungalows of the Creta Maris, can accommodate 1068 clients. All rooms are equipped with all necessary comforts and offer either a garden or veranda. Creta Maris has 534 rooms, 215 of which are bungalows.
- Restaurants -- The hotel has three restaurants. The main restaurant serves buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The Taverna has a-la-carte meals and there is also a snack restaurant. There is also six different bars at certain locations of the hotel area: Romantic, Bowling, Tennis, Snack, Tavern, and Beach Bars.
