Free day at leisure or choose our optional tour (Monuments of Rome Tour). This evening, depart Piazza San Bernardo for an illuminated tour of the Eternal City. Along the way to the famous Piazza della Repubblica, enjoy flood-lit views of the Via Veneto, Palazzo Margherita, Porta Pinciana, Villa Borghese, Piazzale Flaminio, Via Flaminia, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Augusto Imperatore, and Via del Corso. Arriving at the Piazza della Repubblica, visit Trevi Fountain, the largest and most exquisite Baroque fountain in Rome. Continue to Piazza Venezia and enjoy charming views of the Capitol, Imperial Forum, Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Aventine Hill, and Circus Maximus. Compliment this fascinating tour of Rome by night with traditional Roman cuisine in a typical restaurant, accompanied by folk music.

| Day 3: Wed - Rome, (Optional Monuments of Rome) |

Free day at leisure or choose our optional tour (Monuments of Rome Tour). This morning, depart Piazza San Bernardo, site of Mose Fountain, and continue to the the Piazza della Repubblica. The walking tour is designed to take you through the ages of Rome, starting from the Spanish Steps and reaching Piazza di Spagna featuring the famous fountain la Barcaccia designed by Pietro Bernini. Proceed to the Trevi Fountain, the largest and most exquisite baroque fountain in Rome, before heading to the best preserved of all ancient Roman buildings, the Pantheon, whose original dome is the largest surviving from antiquity in the world. Tour ends at the famous Piazza Navona, erected over the ruins of Domitian Circus.
Departs at 8:30 a.m. from Via V. E. Orlando, 95. Pick-up from hotel 60 minutes prior to departure time. Drop-off in city center.

| Day 4: Thu - Rome, (Optional Full day in Rome with lunch) |

Free day at leisure or choose our optional tour (Monuments of Rome Tour). This morning, depart from the Piazza San Bernardo, site of Mose Fountain, and travel along Via Bissolati and Via Veneto. Pass by Villa Borghese, one of Europe most elegant parks, and previous estate of the noble Borghese family. The tour continues to the Vatican Museum and Galleries, where you will find galleries of chandeliers, tapestries, geographical maps, the Sobiesky Hall and the Immaculate Conception Hall. From here, visit the Sistine Chapel and behold the great frescoes by Michelangelo. Passing through the Vatican Hall continue to the Basilica of Saint Peter, one of the four major basilicas of Rome, and burial site of its namesake Saint Peter. Continue to the square of the Capitol and admire the unique sight of the Forum, Colosseum and Palatine Hill, one of Rome most ancient districts. Walk along the pavement of the original Roman grid, which crosses the ruins of the Roman Forum, the Curia, and the Reggia. Enjoy views of the Temple of Vesta, the Arch of Titus and the Triumphal Arch of Constantine. Continue with an inside tour of the Colosseum, a giant amphitheater used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles, and the largest building ever constructed in the Roman Empire. The tour concludes with a visit to the church of St. Peter in Chains, where Michelangelo famous statue of Moses is housed.
Please note that on Wednesdays during the Holy Father Audience, the visit inside St. Peter Basilica will not take place.

After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Rome, transfer on your own to the rail station to board your train to Florence, arrival and transfer on your own to your hotel, rest of the day is free.

| Day 6: Sat - Florence, (Optional Morning City Tour) |
|
|
Free day at leisure or choose our optional tour (Monuments of Rome Tour). This morning, depart by coach for a short stop at Piazzale Michelangelo, one of the most ideal vantage points of Florence. Continue to visit the 16th century Accademia of Fine Arts to admire Michelangelo David. View the Duomo, adorned with the marvelous red dome by Brunelleschi, before continuing to the Baptistery to view Ghiberti famous Gates of Paradise, whose south door quatrefoils and seated Virtues feature scenes from the life of John the Baptist.
Departs at 9:30 a.m. Pick-up 15 minutes prior to departure time from Piazza della stazione, at the corner of Piazza dell Unita. Drop-off in city center.

This afternoon, enjoy a relaxing drive through the beautiful Tuscan countryside towards the historic University city of Pisa, famous throughout the world for its architectural beauty. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the Piazza dei Miracoli to view Pisa most prized landmark, the Leaning Tower, as well as the Cathedral, Baptistery, and other famous monuments for which the city is known. Departs at 2:00 p.m. Pick-up 15 minutes prior to departure time from Piazza della stazione, at the corner of Piazza dell Unita. Drop-off in city center.

| Day 9: Tue - Venice, (Optional Walking Tour of Venice & Optional Gondola Serenade) |

Free day at leisure or choose our optional tour (Walking Tour of Venice). This morning`s tour begins with an orientation of St. Mark`s Square, considered the historical heart of the city, and continues to visit the Golden Basilica of San Marco* with its mysterious interior, lavish mosaics, and decorations of Occidental and Oriental design. Proceed to the 14th century Doge`s Palace, whose facade comprises a massive Gothic gate on the Piazzetta side, known as the Porta Della Carta. Continue to the rear of the palace to view the Bridge of Sighs. The tour ends with an optional visit to a glass blowing factory on Murano Island.
Afternoon free or choose our optional tour (Gondola Serenade). This evening, enjoy one of the highlights of any Italian holiday! Enjoy a relaxing gondola ride with music along the famous Grand Canal, and experience a piece of Venetian history. Glide along the centuries old canals, past lavish palaces and under famous arched bridges (the Gondola holds a maximum of six passengers. Please note that this is not a private gondola ride).
