Full day at leisure or enjoy an optional morning tour of Florence. This morning, depart by coach for a short stop at Piazzale Michelangelo, one of the most ideal vantage points of Florence. Continue to visit the 16th century Accademia of Fine Arts (*) to admire Michelangelo`s David. Visit the Duomo (**), adorned with the marvelous red dome by Brunelleschi, before continuing to the Baptistery to view Ghiberti`s famous "Gates of Paradise," whose south door quatrefoils and seated Virtues feature scenes from the life of John the Baptist. (*) The Duomo is closed on Mondays, and will be replaced with the Opera Del Duomo and the Museum. (**) Likewise, the church cannot be visited on Sundays and National Holidays. Departs at 9:30 a.m. Pick up 15 minutes prior to departure time from Via Santa Caterina da Siena 17. Drop off at Via Santa Caterina da Siena 17. Full day at leisure or enjoy an optional tour to Siena and San Gimignano. Enjoy a full day excursion takes you to two of the loveliest towns in the Chianti area: Siena and the medieval walled town of San Gimignano. Relax on a scenic ride through the Italian countryside to Siena, admiring the ever-changing scenery of vineyards and scarped olive groves en route. Upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour with a local guide to view the Cathedral, the unique fan-shaped Piazza del Campo, and the Palazzo Comunale. Visit Libreria Piccolomini and the Gothic Museo del Duomo, whose elaborate outer portals are richly decorated with acanthus scrolls, allegorical figures, and biblical scenes. Next, travel to San Gimignano, a medieval town of Etruscan origin. Built by early noble families, the fourteen remaining stone towers that line the ramparts of the town create one of the area`s most beautiful skylines. Full Day at leisure, afternoon you may choose our optional tour (Pisa Tour from Florence). This afternoon, enjoy a relaxing drive through the beautiful Tuscan countryside towards the historic University city of Pisa, famous throughout the world for its architectural beauty. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the Piazza dei Miracoli to view Pisa`s most prized landmark, the Leaning Tower, as well as the Cathedral, Baptistery, and other famous monuments for which the city is known. Departs at 2:00 p.m. Pick-up 15 minutes prior to departure time from Piazza della stazione, at the corner of Piazza dell Unita. Drop-off in city center.
