Welcome to Venice. An optional arrival transfer from the airport to your hotel is available for $54. Enjoy the balance of the day on your own.

| Day 3: Mon - Venice, Optional Walking Tour, Optional Gondola Serenade |
|
|
Full day at leisure or choose an optional walking tour of Venice. This morning`s tour begins with an orientation of St. Mark`s Square, considered the historical heart of the city, and continues to visit the Golden Basilica of San Marco* with its mysterious interior, lavish mosaics, and decorations of Occidental and Oriental design. Proceed to the 14th century Doge`s Palace, whose facade comprises a massive Gothic gate on the Piazzetta side, known as the Porta Della Carta. Continue to the rear of the palace to view the Bridge of Sighs. The tour ends with an optional visit to a glass blowing factory on Murano Island.
This evening, enjoy one of the highlights of any Italian holiday by choosing an optional Gondola Serenade! Enjoy a relaxing gondola ride with music along the famous Grand Canal, and experience a piece of Venetian history. Glide along the centuries old canals, past lavish palaces and under famous arched bridges (the Gondola holds a maximum of six passengers. Please note that this is not a private gondola ride).

| Day 4: Tue - Venice, Optional Grand Canal Tour |

Full day at leisure or you can choose our optional tour (Grand Canal Tour). Today, travel by private boat to experience the beauty and charm of the Grand Canal, the city`s most prized attraction. Admire the famous bridges and magnificent palaces built by the noble patrician families more than 500 years ago as you cruise along the floating corridors. Relax and soak in the true spirit of Venice, and see for yourself why the French Ambassador of Charles VIII once proclaimed the Grand Canal "the most beautiful street of the world."
Departs at 4:30 p.m. (Apr 1-Oct 31) and 11:30 a.m. (Nov 1-Mar 31) from Alilaguna Pier (In front of the entrance to the Royal Gardens of St. Mark`s). Drop-off at Alilaguna Pier.

| Day 5: Wed - Venice, Optional optional excursion to the Islands of Venice |
|
|
Full day at leisure or choose an optional excursion to the Islands of Venice. Depart by boat from Alilaguna Pier to the charming island of Murano. Built on a series of small islands connected by bridges in the Venetian Lagoon, Murano is known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Enjoy a visit inside one of the island`s glass blowing factories to witness first-hand the methods of this fascinating art. Continue the tour to Burano Island, famous for its colorful houses and central church with leaning campanile. Visit the island`s main avenue, Baldassarre Galuppi Street, to shop for handmade lace. Continue to the island of Torcello to visit the church of Santa Fosca and the Byzantine Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta.
