This afternoon, enjoy a half day city and temple tour. This tour will introduce you to Bangkok, the “City of Angels”. Drive through Chinese Town, the Indian Market, and the Wholesale Flower Market. Visit Wat Po (Temple of the Reclining Buddha), the oldest and first school for people in the olden days. See the biggest Reclining Buddha statue, 160 feet long and 40 feet high, before continuing to the Royal Avenue where most of the Government offices are located and the Palace of the Present King. Optional: Siam Niramit Show & Dinner (PM).Overnight: Bangkok.

| Day 5: Saturday - Travel to Kanchanaburi |
|
|
This morning we will head southwest of Bangkok to explore the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. You will have the opportunity to see how local farmers and villagers trade their wares aboard small Sampan boats. The boats are loaded with all kinds of products including fruits, vegetables, dry goods, housewares, and freshly cooked food. From the Floating market, we will travel on to Kanchanaburi. In Kanchanaburi, we will visit the Bridge Over the River Kwai, the War Museum, which was built with donations from Australians and former prisoners, and the War Cemetery. The cemetery was built by the British Commonwealth War Grave Association, on a plot of land that was donated by local Thai citizens. Overnight: Kanchanaburi.

| Day 7: Monday - Travel to Ayutthaya |
|
|
Depart for Ayutthaya, the second and most prosperous capital of Thailand, from 1350-1767. On the way, stop at Bang Pa In Royal Palace. Bang Pa In was the royal summer palace for Thai kings. Originally constructed in 1632, the complex fell into disrepair. In the mid-1800s, King Mongkut restored the site to its former glory. Upon arrival in Ayutthaya, enjoy sunset at Chai Wattanaram Temple. This temple was built by King Prasat Tong, who was actually a commoner who overthrew the previous king and took his throne. This is a lovely place to take in the nature and peace of Siam. Optional: Ayutthaya by Night Tri-Shaw Tour. Overnight: Ayutthaya.
