| Day 1: Muscat |

You will be greeted by our representative, on your arrival at the airport. Transfer to the hotel.

| Day 2: Muscat |
|
|
After breakfast we have a guided tour of Muscat : Sultan Qaboos grand Mosque, famous for its architecture, and the largest in Oman. Very well known for its hand made carpet (70 x 60 meters) and the largest gold plated and solid crystal chandelier. This superb mosque is a superb example of Arabic and Islamic art. You will visit the local museum and the fishmonger’s and fruit and vegetable markets of Mouttrah, at the end of the corniche. Small local fishermen’s boats deliver the fish on the wharf, just before being sold to the customers.
Proceed to Al Alam palace (photos from the outside), private residence of his majesty Sultan QABOOS. Proceed then to two ancient Portugese forts : Jalali et Mirani and the superb coastal corniche road of Mutrah. Bait Zubair museum and the old city. Shopping in the souks of Mutrah a maze where you will find all sorts of souvenirs, including the famous Khanjar, the traditional Omani knife, some gold and silver jewels, scents, cloths and spices, and – last but not least – the most expensive perfume in the world (Al Amouage). Dinner and overnight at the hotel

| Day 3: Muscat, Rass el Had |
|
|
Breakfast and departure to Daiqa canyon with its pools of crystal clear waters : we shall walk through the palm trees and the canyons to choose a waterfall to cool down. Proceed to the Sinkhole and Wadi Shab, a shallow shaded green-watered lake. Wadi Tiwi and a quick stop at Qalhat, an ancient city visited by Marco Polo in the XIII th century, and, fifty years later by the Maroccan geographer Ibn Batouta. The site archeological is very important : Visit to Baby Myriam, Mosque and sanctuary.
Visit of the shipyard (in free access), before proceeding to Rass el Hadd, to see the green turtles if possible, that come ashore to lay their eggs at night (silence and protection of the environment). Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

| Day 4: Rass el Had, Wahiba Sands |
|
|
Breakfast and departure to Wadi Bani Khaled, and its natural pools proceed to Wahiba, a 10,000 sq.km territory, south of the eastern region, with its 150 plant species and a huge acreage of ghaf (a sort of acacia) where we can discover both the sand dunes and the desert. Visit to the Bedouins and sunset on sand dunes, Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

| Day 5: Wahiba Sands, Nizwa |
|
|
Departure to El Mudhireb, visit to the ancient village. Proceed to Berket al Mouz, crossing its palm grove and photos of the fort. Departure through Jabel Akhdar. Continuation to Wadi Bani Habib and Diana point. Return to Nizwa in late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at the hotel

| Day 6: Nizwa, Bahla, Nizwa |
|
|
Departure for a guided tour of the town of Nizwa, most visited site in Oman. Visit of its massive fortress from which you can discover the mosque with its famous blue dome, the maze of its terraced houses and the belt of palm trees that surrounds Nizwa. Visit the incense-scented souk. Continuation to Jabrin visit of the castle and leisurely walk on its fortifications.
Departure to Bahla, a potters town photo to the fort. Proceed to Jebel Shams with its wonderful sights, steep canyons and stange looking rocks, result of the erosion its isolated villages. Return to Nizwa. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Departure to Al-Hamra with its terraced houses three or four stories high, continuation to Misfah a potters’ little village whose houses are inlaid in the cliff. Drive through Wedi Beni Aouf with a nice view onto its palm grove, and return to Muscat. Dinner and overnight at the hotel
