As you explore, listen to anecdotes and legends and become exposed to the rich art and history of Venice. Departs 9:30 pm from Exchange Office under the clock tower in St. Marks Square

This morning, begin your Venice value vacation with a free day at leisure or choose our OPTIONAL tour (The Absolute Venice Tour) walking tour exposes you to the most charismatic and important historical places in the unique city of Venice. The tour begins with an orientation of St. Marks Square, considered the historical heart of the city, where you will learn about the Squares main monuments including the Golden Basilica of San Marco, the Bell and Clock Towers, and the Procuratie buildings. Proceed to Santa Maria Formosa Square and Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo, the second largest square in Venice. Continue on to the corner of Marco Polos House and Malbran Theater. Then, return to St. Marks Square through the Mercerie, a series of interconnecting streets that connect Ponte di Rialto and St. Marks Square, and are the main streets in the city for shopping. Next, explore Doges Palace, the seat of the Venetian government for centuries. Walk through the palace and become immersed in the stunning and intricate masterpieces that line the walls and learn more about the palaces role in the European Middle Ages. Also see the rich details of the gold staircase and relive the anguish of prisoners crossing the famous Bridge of Sighs and into the Venetian prisons. Adjacent to Doges Palace is St Marks Basilica. Here you will be able to experience one of the most majestic cathedrals in the world and become mesmerized with the beautiful golden mosaics and marble inlaid floors. Evening free or you may choose our OPTIONAL tour (Gondola Serenade) enjoy one of the highlights of any Italian holiday Enjoy a relaxing gondola ride with music along the famous Grand Canal, and experience a piece of Venetian history. Glide along the centuries old canals, past lavish palaces and under famous arched bridges (the Gondola holds a maximum of six passengers. Please note that this is not a private gondola ride. Gondolas may depart in groups, with one singer offered per group). Departs at 7:30 pm (Apr - Oct), 3:30 pm (Nov -Mar). Pick-up 15 minutes prior to departure time from Santa Maria del Giglio gondola pier. Drop-off at Santa Maria del Giglio gondola pier.

Last day for Venice value vacation, Free day at leisure or choose our OPTIONAL tour (Excursion to the Islands of Venice Lagoon). Depart by boat from Alilaguna Pier to the charming island of Murano. Built on a series of small islands connected by bridges in the Venetian Lagoon, Murano is known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Enjoy a visit inside one of the island glass blowing factories to witness first-hand the methods of this fascinating art. Continue to Burano, the most scenic island of the Lagoon, famous for its colorful houses and central church with leaning campanile. Visit Baldassarre Galuppi Street, the island main avenue, filled with tiny shops that sell famous handmade lace. Continue to the island of Torcello to visit the church of Santa Fosca. Here you will see the church unique portico in the form of a Greek cross, and the Byzantine Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. Departs daily at 2:30 p.m. (Apr 1-Oct 31) and 2:00 p.m. (Nov 1-March 31). Tour departs from Alilaguna Pier (In front of the entrance to the Royal Gardens of St. Mark). Drop-off at Alilaguna Pier. Tour does not operate on: May 1 (Labor Day), Dec 25 (Christmas), Jan 1 (New Year Day).
