Day 1: Wed - Depart USA

Day 2: Thu - Rome, Optional Illuminated Rome with Dinner Tour
Welcome to Rome. Transfer independently from the airport to your hotel, or choose an optional arrival transfer. Balance of the day at leisure to explore Rome on your own or choose our optional Illuminated Rome with Dinner Tour. This evening, depart Piazza San Bernardo for an illuminated tour of the Eternal City. Along the way to the famous Piazza della Repubblica, enjoy flood-lit views of the Via Veneto, Palazzo Margherita, Porta Pinciana, Villa Borghese, Piazzale Flaminio, Via Flaminia, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Augusto Imperatore, and Via del Corso. Arriving at the Piazza della Repubblica, visit Trevi Fountain, the largest and most exquisite Baroque fountain in Rome. Continue to Piazza Venezia and enjoy charming views of the Capitol, Imperial Forum, Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Aventine Hill, and Circus Maximus. Compliment this fascinating tour of Rome by night with traditional Roman cuisine in a typical restaurant, accompanied by folk music.Departs at 8:00 p.m. from Via V. E. Orlando, 95.
Day 3: Fri - Rome, Optional Rome with lunch tour
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Rome or choose an Optional Rome with lunch tour. This morning, depart Piazza San Bernardo, site of Moses` Fountain, and continue to the Piazza della Repubblica. The tour is designed to take you through the ages of Rome, starting from the Spanish Steps and reaching Piazza di Spagna featuring the famous fountain la Barcaccia" designed by Pietro Bernini. Proceed to the Trevi Fountain, the largest and most exquisite Baroque fountain in Rome, before heading to the best preserved of all Roman buildings, the Pantheon, whose original dome is the largest surviving from antiquity in the world. Stop and admire the famous Piazza Navona, erected over the ruins of Domitian`s Circus. Continue to the square of the Capitol, and admire the unique sight of the Forum, Colosseum and Palatine Hill, one of Rome`s most ancient districts. Walk along the pavement of the original Roman grid, which crosses the ruins of the Roman Forum, the Curia, and the Reggia. Enjoy views of the Temple of Vesta, the Arch of Titus and the Triumphal Arch of Constantine. Continue with an inside tour of the Colosseum, a giant amphitheater used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles, and the largest building ever built in the Roman Empire. The tour concludes with a visit to the church of St. Peter in Chains, where Michelangelo`s famous statue of Moses is housed. ( B )
Day 4: Sat - Rome, Optional Tivoli & Its Villas Tour
Full day at leisure in Rome or you can choose our optional tour (3 Vatican Museums 8:30 AM). This morning, depart from the Piazza San Bernardo, site of Moses Fountain, and travel along Via Bissolati and Via Veneto. Pass by Villa Borghese, one of Europes most elegant parks, and previous estate of the noble Borghese family. The tour continues to the Vatican Museum and Galleries, where you will find galleries of chandeliers, tapestries, geographical maps, the Sobiesky Hall and the Immaculate Conception Hall. From here, visit the Sistine Chapel and behold the great frescoes by Michelangelo. Passing through the Vatican Hall, continue to the Basilica of Saint Peter, one of the four major basilicas of Rome, and burial site of its namesake, Saint Peter..

Evening you can choose our optional tour (8 Illuminated Rome by Night 8:00 PM). This evening, depart Piazza San Bernardo for an illuminated tour of Romes historic piazzas and fountains. Along the way to the famous Piazza della Repubblica, enjoy flood-lit views of the Palazzo Margherita, Porta Pinciana, Villa Borghese, Piazzale Flaminio, Via Flaminia, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Augusto Imperatore, and Via del Corso. Arriving at the Piazza della Repubblica, visit Trevi Fountain, the largest and most exquisite Baroque fountain in Rome, before continuing along the Via Quattro Fontane to view the equally impressive, Fountains of the Four Seasons. From Piazza Venezia, enjoy charming views of the Memorial of King Vittorio Emanuele II and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. From this prime vantage point, admire the Capitol, Imperial Forum, Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Aventine Hill, Circus Maximus, and the Great Synagogue, overlooking the former Jewish ghetto. Day 5: Sun - Rome, Optional Naples & Pompeii with lunch tour
Full day at leisure in Rome or you can choose our optional tour (13 Naples & Pompeii with lunch from Rome 7:15 AM). Depart Rome in the early morning for a pleasant drive along the "Sun Route" motorway, taking you through the scenic regions of Lazio and Campania. Pass the famous Abbey of Montecassino en route to Naples where you will enjoy a short panoramic tour of the city. Continue toward Pompeii for lunch in a typical restaurant, followed by a short visit to a nearby coral and cameo factory. Afterward, visit the excavated ruins of this incredibly well preserved Roman town, destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. ( B )
Day 6: Mon - Departure
Transfer independently to the airport for your departure flight, or choose a private car transfer. Return to the USA. ( B )
