Today begins with a boat ride to the Island of Murano, known throughout the world for its fine glasswork industry. Then, visit St. Marks Square to begin a guided walking tour of romantic Venice. View the Golden Basilica of San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs and visit the Doges Palace, whose facade features a massive late-Gothic gate, known as the Porta della Carta.
Afternoon at leisure or you can choose our optional tour (Gondola Ride with Music). One of the highlights of any Italian holiday Enjoy a relaxing gondola ride with music along the famous Grand Canal, and experience a piece of Venetian history. Glide along the centuries old canals, past lavish palaces and under famous arched bridges (the Gondola holds a maximum of six passengers. Please note that this is not a private gondola ride).

Travel through the stunning panorama of Tuscany to Lucca, one of Italys finest medieval cities. Walk the narrow streets of the original Roman grid to San Michele and its beautiful piazza, which occupies the site of the ancient Roman Forum. Continue to Montecatini.

| Day 5: Friday - Tour of Cinque Terre |

Today visit the spectacular Cinque Terre, one of the most beautiful areas of the Liguria region. Here, five small villages are suspended between sea and earth, nestled in the cliffs overlooking the sea, set beside hills where the lands finest wine grapes are grown. Return to Montecatini and enjoy the evening at leisure. This evening, enjoy a cooking demonstration and dinner of the local specialties.

Full day at leisure or you can choose our optionl tour (Full Day Florence from Montecatini). This morning, travel to Florence, the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. On arrival, walk to the Duomo and Baptistery to view Ghibertis "Gates of Paradise," whose south door quatrefoils feature scenes from the life of John the Baptist. Continue to visit the Accademia where you will view Michelangelos David. From here, visit the open air art museum of Signoria Square, with its beautiful statues and landmark Ponte Vecchio, the "Old Bridge." Return to Montecatini. Pickup details to be advised locally.

| Day 7: Sunday - Full Day in Montecatini, Evening Dinner at Tuscan Vineyard |

Full day at leisure or you can chooe our optional tour (Siena from Montecatini). Enjoy a tour of the medieval city of Siena, site of the famous Horserace of Palio. This traditional race takes place each year on July 2nd and August 16th, and runs in celebration of the holy apparition and assumption of the Virgin Mary, patron saint of the city. | Day 8: Monday - Pompeii Sightseeing En Route to Sorrento |

Depart Montecatini via motor coach for Sorrento, a charming coastal town overlooking the Bay of Naples. Continue along the "Sun Route," passing the famous Montecassino Abbey, and enjoy the stunning panorama of the Sorrentine coast. On the way stop in Pompeii. Visit the ruins of this best preserved Roman city, including the Temples of Apollo and Jupiter, and the Forum. Continue to Sorrento.

The tour will take you to the Roman Forum, the political center during the Roman Republic, the triumphal Arch of Constantine, the Arch of Titus and the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater built in the Roman Empire. Today begins with the visit to the Vatican Museums and Michelangelos breathtaking Sistine Chapel. Stroll through St. Peters Square, passing Berninis famous colonnade, to visit St. Peters Basilica, where you will view Michelangelos Pieta. This highly-finished marble sculpture depicts the body of Jesus in the arms of Mary after the Crucifixion and is considered to be among the most compelling of all works of art in the Western world.
Afternoon at leisure or you can choose our optional tour (Piazzas of Rome). This half day walking tour takes you to explore the grand piazzas of the Eternal City. Stand in awe in front of the majestic Spanish Steps, the longest and widest decorative steps in Europe, and with your local guide stroll through the most characteristic "piazzas and vias " of Rome. Stop to admire the breathtaking grandeur of the Trevi Fountain and take the opportunity to toss in one, two, or three coins, each of which is supposed to bring a unique kind of good fortune.
