Arrive in Venice and transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. This evening, enjoy an orientation meeting with your tour escort, followed by a welcome dinner.

| Day 3: Wednesday - Venice City Tour |
|
|
Today begins with a boat ride to the Island of Murano, known throughout the world for its fine glasswork industry. Then, visit St. Marks Square to begin a guided walking tour of romantic Venice. View the Golden Basilica of San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs and visit the Doges Palace, whose facade features a massive late-Gothic gate, known as the Porta della Carta. Take the remainder of the day to explore Venice on your own.
Afternoon free at leisure or you can choose our optional tour (Gondola Ride with Music). One of the highlights of any Italian holiday Enjoy a relaxing gondola ride with music along the famous Grand Canal, and experience a piece of Venetian history. Glide along the centuries old canals, past lavish palaces and under famous arched bridges (the Gondola holds a maximum of six passengers. Please note that this is not a private gondola ride).

| Day 4: Thursday - Lucca Sightseeing En Route to Montecatini |
|
|
Travel through the stunning panorama of Tuscany to Lucca, one of Italys finest medieval cities. Walk the narrow streets of the original Roman grid to San Michele and its beautiful piazza, which occupies the site of the ancient Roman Forum. Continue to Montecatini.

| Day 5: Friday - Tour of Cinque Terre |
|
|
Today visit the spectacular Cinque Terre, one of the most beautiful areas of the Liguria region. Here, five small villages are suspended between sea and earth, nestled in the cliffs overlooking the sea, set beside hills where the lands finest wine grapes are grown. Return to Montecatini and enjoy the evening at leisure. This evening, enjoy a cooking demonstration and dinner of the local specialties.

| Day 6: Saturday - Full Day in Montecatini |

Full Day at leisure to explore Montecatini and its surroundings on your own or you can choose our optional tour (Full Day Florence from Montecatini). This morning, travel to Florence, the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. On arrival, walk to the Duomo and Baptistery to view Ghibertis "Gates of Paradise," whose south door quatrefoils feature scenes from the life of John the Baptist. Continue to visit the Accademia where you will view Michelangelos David. From here, visit the open air art museum of Signoria Square, with its beautiful statues and landmark Ponte Vecchio, the "Old Bridge." Return to Montecatini. Pickup details to be advised locally.

| Day 7: Sunday - Full Day in Montecatini |

Enjoy a full day at leisure in Montecatini or you can choose our optional tour (Siena from Montecatini). Enjoy a tour of the medieval city of Siena, site of the famous Horserace of Palio. This traditional race takes place each year on July 2nd and August 16th, and runs in celebration of the holy apparition and assumption of the Virgin Mary, patron saint of the city. Tour Campo Square and St. Dominics Church before returning to Montecatini. Pick-up details to be advised locally.

| Day 8: Monday - Pompeii Sightseeing En Route to Sorrento |
|

Depart Montecatini via motor coach for Sorrento, a charming coastal town overlooking the Bay of Naples. Continue along the "Sun Route," passing the famous Montecassino Abbey, and enjoy the stunning panorama of the Sorrentine coast. On the way stop in Pompeii. Visit the ruins of this best preserved Roman city, including the Temples of Apollo and Jupiter, and the Forum. Continue to Sorrento.

| Day 9: Tuesday - Tour of Amalfi Coast |

Today enjoy a drive of the world-famous Amalfi route and admire panoramic views of the enchanting towns along the Mediterranean coast. Pass the distinctive white Moorish homes of Positano on this legendary road to reach the coastal town of Amalfi, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Sorrento.

Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Sorrento on your own. This evening, enjoy farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
Or you can choose our optional tour (Full Day Capri). Enjoy a full day journey to the colorful Isle of Capri by boat. Visit the lovely Anacapri and explore the charming shops and chic boutiques as you stroll the islands narrow streets. Continue to see "La Piazzetta," the social heart of the island, on your way to the open-air Gardens of Augustus, from where you will appreciate breathtaking views of the famous Faraglioni rocks. Tour includes: local guide, round trip transportation to port, round trip transportation by fast boat, minibus or cable car transportation on the island. Pickup details to be advised locally.
