Day 1: Wednesday - Depart USA

Day 2: Thursday - Rome, Optional Tour 8 Illuminated Rome by Night 8:00 PM
Free day at leisure or you can choose our optional tour (8 Illuminated Rome by Night 8:00 PM). This evening, depart Piazza San Bernardo for an illuminated tour of Rome`s historic piazzas and fountains. Along the way to the famous Piazza della Repubblica, enjoy flood-lit views of the Palazzo Margherita, Porta Pinciana, Villa Borghese, Piazzale Flaminio, Via Flaminia, Piazza del Popolo, Piazza Augusto Imperatore, and Via del Corso. Arriving at the Piazza della Repubblica, visit Trevi Fountain, the largest and most exquisite Baroque fountain in Rome, before continuing along the Via Quattro Fontane to view the equally impressive, Fountains of the Four Seasons. From Piazza Venezia, enjoy charming views of the Memorial of King Vittorio Emanuele II and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. From this prime vantage point, admire the Capitol, Imperial Forum, Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Aventine Hill, Circus Maximus, and the Great Synagogue, overlooking the former Jewish ghetto. Conclude this fascinating tour of the Eternal City by night with views of the Castel Sant`Angelo and St. Peter`s Basilica on your return. ( B )

Day 4: Saturday - Rome, Optional #3 & 4 Rome with lunch
Free day at leisure or you can choose our optional tour (#3 & 4 Rome with lunch) This morning, depart from the Piazza San Bernardo, site of Moses Fountain, and travel along Via Bissolati and Via Veneto. Pass by Villa Borghese, one of Europes most elegant parks, and previous estate of the noble Borghese family. The tour continues to the Vatican Museum and Galleries, where you will find galleries of chandeliers, tapestries, geographical maps, the Sobiesky Hall and the Immaculate Conception Hall. From here, visit the Sistine Chapel and behold the great frescoes by Michelangelo. Passing through the Vatican Hall continue to the Basilica of Saint Peter, one of the four major basilicas of Rome, and burial site of its namesake Saint Peter. Continue along the Via Nazionale to the Basilica of St. John in Lateran. Dedicated to John the Baptist and John the Evangelist, the Basilica is ranked first among the four major basilicas of Rome and is famous for its baroque and medieval masterpieces. Proceed to the Holy Stairs, the 28 marble steps climbed by Jesus Christ to stand trial in Pilates Palace. rom this ancient pilgrimage site, the tour continues by coach, crossing the Piazza San Giovanni and Via Latina, to the Appian Way, where you will find the sacred Chapel of "Domine Quo Vadis". Then, visit the Catacombs of St. Sebastian before walking along the Appian Way to the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metellea, built around 50 B.C. Return in the early evening, passing the ruins of the Baths of Caracalla en route.

Please note that on Wednesdays during the Holy Fathers Audience, the visit inside St. Peters Basilica will not take place. Departs at 7:30 a.m. (Apr - Oct) and 8:30 a.m. (Nov - Mar) from Via V. E. Orlando, 95. Pick-up from hotel 45 minutes prior to departure time (between 6:30 a.m. and 7:15 a.m for Apr - Oct and between 7:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m for Nov - Mar). Drop-off in city center. Please note that conservative clothing should be worn when visiting the Vatican, meaning legs and shoulders should be covered. ( B )

Day 5: Sunday - Rome, Florence
After breakfast, check out from your hotel in Rome, transfer on your own to the rail station to board your train to Florence, arrival and transfer on your own to your hotel, rest of the day is free. ( B )
Day 6: Monday - Florence, Optional Tour Siena & San Gimignano from Florence 8:45 AM
Free day at leisure or you can choose our optioanl tour (Siena & San Gimignano from Florence 8:45 AM). Enjoy a full day excursion that takes you to two of the loveliest towns in the Chianti area: Siena and the medieval walled town of San Gimignano. First, travel to San Gimignano, a medieval town of Etruscan origin. Built by early noble families, the fourteen remaining stone towers that line the ramparts of the town create one of the areas most beautiful skylines. Enjoy a leisurely walk through the towns narrow lanes and squares. Relax on a scenic ride through the Italian countryside to Siena, admiring the ever-changing scenery of vineyards and scarped olive groves en route. Upon arrival, enjoy a walking tour with a local guide to view the Cathedral, the unique fan-shaped Piazza del Campo, and the Palazzo Comunale. End your day with a tour and tasting at a famous wine estate in the Chianti Classico area.

Day 7: Tuesday - Florence, Optional Florence Afternoon City Tour 2:30 PM
After breakfast, free day at your lesiure, Afternoon you may choose our optional tour (Florence Afternoon City Tour 2:30 PM) Enjoy a walking tour of the city center in Florence and have the opportunity to view sights such as the Palazzo Vecchio and Piazza Signoria. Afterwards, enjoy a visit to the famous Uffizi Gallery to admire original works of art by Leonardo, Giotto, Michelangelo, Botticelli, Raffaello, and many, many others. End your tour with a stop at Ponte Vecchio, a medieval bridge with shops built alongside

Departs at 2:30 p.m. Pick-up 15 minutes prior to departure time from Via Santa Caterina da Siena, 15/17. Drop-off in city center. ( B )

Day 8: Wednesday - Florence, Venice
After breakfast, check out from your hotel, transfer on your own to the rail station to board your train to Venice, arrival and transfer on your own to the hotel, rest of the day is free at leisure, or you may choose our optional tour (Gondola Serenade) This evening, enjoy one of the highlights of any Italian holiday Enjoy a relaxing gondola ride with music along the famous Grand Canal, and experience a piece of Venetian history. Glide along the centuries old canals, past lavish palaces and under famous arched bridges (the Gondola holds a maximum of six passengers. Please note that this is not a private gondola ride. Gondolas may depart in groups, with one singer offered per group).

Departs at 7:30 pm (Apr - Oct), 3:30 pm (Nov -Mar). Pick-up 15 minutes prior to departure time from Santa Maria del Giglio gondola pier. Drop-off at Santa Maria del Giglio gondola pier. Tour does not operate on: Dec 25 (Christmas), Dec 31, Jan 1 (New Years). ( B )

Day 9: Thursday - Venice, Optional Walking Tour of Venice
Free day at leisure or you can chooe our optional tour (Walking Tour of Venice 9:15 AM). This mornings tour begins with an orientation of St. Marks Square, considered the historical heart of the city, and continues to visit the Golden Basilica of San Marco* with its mysterious interior, lavish mosaics, and decorations of Occidental and Oriental design. Proceed to the 14th century Doges Palace, whose facade comprises a massive Gothic gate on the Piazzetta side, known as the Porta Della Carta. Continue to the rear of the palace to view the Bridge of Sighs. The tour ends with an optional visit to a glass blowing factory on Murano Island.

For security reasons, bags are not allowed inside the Basilica. A free-of-charge holding station is available. Due to Mass, San Marco Basilica is closed for visitations on Sundays, and during any religious ceremonies and holy feast days. In this case, visits will exclude interior views of the church. Likewise, Doges Palace is closed on Dec 25, Jan 1, and May 1. Departs daily at 9:10 a.m. from the Tourist Information Office in St. Marks Square, at 71/F Piazza San Marco in front of the Correr Museum. Drop-off at Tourist Information Office in St. Marks Square. ( B )

Day 10: Friday - Departure
After breakfast, check out from your hotel, transfer on your own to airport for your deparutre flight, optional departure transfer is available up on request. ( B )
